Literature Text
You sit around a table with your friends chatting and laughing as always.
You look up and suddenly there are two deep brown eyes staring straight into yours.
Almost as suddenly as your eyes meet, the other pair of eyes turns away from you and looks down.
You continue chatting with your friends, but you can't help but feel that pair of eyes looking at you.
You glance in their direction and see a girl in your year sitting alone.
She stares at you from behind her glasses.
The ends of her mouth are turned down, she looks sad.
You don't go over to her.
You don't ask what's wrong.
You leave her alone.
She's always alone anyway.
You know her.
She has no friends, she doesn't talk to anyone else, she acts differently.
There must be something wrong with her.
You don't look at her again.
You can feel her eyes staring back at you, but you leave her alone.
No one else wants to be friends with her, so there must be a reason.
You leave her alone.
Always alone.
There must be something wrong with her.
